DIY Wedding Crafts

You are probably thinking… Why is she posting about wedding crafts?  Her wedding was over a year ago… But no, it’s not crafts from my own wedding…

This post was originally supposed to be published while I was away at one of my best friends’ wedding at the beginning of the month.  I was in her wedding party, and although we don’t live in the same city anymore, I did go and visit her for the long weekend in September to help with wedding prep (plus a long overdue visit).  So I wanted to share some of the easy wedding crafts that we did that weekend.

Guess What?!? I’m Married!!!

So… it’s been a while… like 2 weeks… I hope you didn’t miss me too much, but I went and got married, so that sort of took up my time…

And it was awesome!  I can’t think of anything that went “wrong” and everything worked out great.  So many of my friends and family made the trip up to Tofino for the special day, and now I’m married to an amazing man.

I have so many awesome stories that I could share, but for now I’ll just say I am so very very happy!  We spent a few extra days up there just the two of us, trying to relax after all the craziness, but now we are back home and I’m trying to get back to the normal routine.

Wedding Planning

One Month To Go!

I don’t want this blog to turn in to a wedding planning blog… but OMG I have one month to finish planning my wedding… I want to make sure that I keep myself accountable on a few things, and maybe share some things we are doing to save money on our wedding (we aren’t really doing much to save money… just pretty much splurging on everything…) And to be honest, my focus for the next month will probably be all wedding… so… sorry!  Once I’m married, we can return to regular programming…

Productive Weekend

I am feeling a little bit better about things today… maybe I’m slowly getting out of my funk that I mentioned last week… I feel like my weekend was productive, and while not totally successful, it’s a step in the right direction.

Friday night, when I got home from my work trip, I had a bunch of girl friends over and we had a crafting party to get our wedding invites made.  We didn’t quite get them all completed, but with a bit more work on Saturday night, we were successful.  Now I just need to get them all addressed, and then I’ll put half in the mail, and the other half in my fiance’s backpack for bike delivery this week.

Saturday, I spent most of the day watching my fiance’s daughter play softball.  It was fun just to sit on my blanket on the grass and do nothing… quite relaxing.  Then, as I mentioned, we worked on the wedding invites and got them finished up.

Sunday morning I ran my half marathon.  I knew based on my training the past few weeks (or really lack of training), I was not going to make my 2 hour goal.  However, at the beginning of the race I gave myself two goals:
